MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Russia will continue taking efforts to settle the situation on the Korean Peninsula, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko told reporters on Wednesday.
"We will continue taking efforts to urge our partners, North Korea to stop any sorts of tests and the US, South Korea and others to stop their hostile rhetoric, as nothing good will come of it," Matvienko said. She noted that North Korea’s ballistic missile launch "arouses deep concerns."
"All states and the UN should be doing everything possible to oblige North Korea to fulfil the UN Security Council decisions and the resolution and stop any sorts of tests. Our position here is the same as that of the global community," she said.
