MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin sees exit from recession and stronger defenses as one of the main achievements of the outgoing year.

"It is very important that our economy has re-emerged from recession and achieved a trajectory of sustainable development and growth," he said at a meeting with staff of a repairs and maintenance depot at a railway station in Moscow. Among other significant achievements of the year Putin emphasized "tangible steps to strengthen the defenses and the army."
