Russia and UNIDO to sign renewed Memorandum on Strategic Partnership
Relations between Moscow and UNIDO had reached a strategic level
VIENNA, November 28. /TASS/. Moscow and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will sign a renewed Memorandum on Strategic Partnership aimed at boosting cooperation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said, addressing the 17th session of the UNIDO General Conference on Tuesday.
"During the current session, we plan to sign a renewed Memorandum on Strategic Partnership between Russia and UNIDO," he said. "The document is consistent with our status of the organization’s donor and is aimed at boosting our cooperation in some fields," the senior Russian diplomat added.
Gatilov stressed that relations between Moscow and UNIDO had reached a strategic level. "We confirm our course for developing multifaceted cooperation with UNIDO as the United Nations’ major organization dealing with issues of comprehensive industrial development," the Russian deputy foreign minister added.
