Ramzan Kadyrov noted that it is up to the country’s leadership to decide about Chechnya’s future head
MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. Head of Russia’s North Caucasian republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said on Sunday he wants to vacate his office as it’s high time to change the republic’s leader.
"In a manner of speaking, this is my dream [to leave the post]. To be the head of a region and to bear responsibility for the people, for the republic, before God and the country’s leadership, before the people - it is very difficult," he said in an interview with the Deistvuyushchiye Litsa (Political Actors) program on the Rossiya-1 television channel. "I wouldn’t say I am tired or I don’t want to work any longer. People like me were once needed to fight, to establish order. Now we have order, prosperity. I think it is time to made changes in the Chechen republic."
He noted that it is up to the country’s leadership to decide about Chechnya’s future head. Anyway, in his words, "there are several persons who can 100% do this job perfectly.".
