Russia’s FSB creates database on foreign terrorists
This is a very important area of fighting and preventing terrorism-related crimes, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said
BAKU, November 20. /TASS/. Russia’s Federal Security Service has created a database on foreign terrorists, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at Azerbaijan’s Diplomatic Academy on Monday.
According to Lavrov, Moscow and Baku actively cooperate in anti-terrorist projects in the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). "Besides, in terms of bilateral cooperation, our competent bodies are in a very close context," he noted. "One of practical examples is that our Federal Security Service has created a database, which provides information on foreign terrorists."
"This is a very important area of fighting and preventing terrorism-related crimes," Lavrov said. "All those who wish to may use it and the broader this database is, the more different states take part in it, the easier it will be to track the routes of militants who today may travel from the Middle East to Central Asia and then Malaysia," he said.
