Medvedev meets Singaporean, Chinese, Indian prime minister on ASEAN summit’s margins

MANILA, November 12. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has received an invitation from his Singaporean counterpart, Lee Hsein Loong, to visit Singapore in 2018 and met with China’s Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit in Manila on Sunday.
At a meeting with the Singaporean prime minister, Medvedev was invited to pay a visit to that country in 2018 to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
The two heads of government hailed efforts to establish closer cooperation. Medvedev, on his part, noted the development of investments in such areas as transport and education and cooperation in personnel training.
Apart from that, the sides agreed to invigorate work on a draft agreement on free trade between Singapore and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Earlier in the day, Medvedev met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.
The Russian prime minister along with heads of delegations from other countries took part in a joint photo session in traditional Philippine shirts and is taking part in a gala dinner on the occasion of ASEAN’s 50th anniversary.
