The disagreements are the constant companions of the Russian-US relations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Statements by US President Donald Trump on the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria’s Idlib province will not affect relations between Moscow and Washington significantly, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

"The current disagreements, including profound disagreements, are, unfortunately, the constant companions of the Russian-US relations, especially in recent years. That is why even such significant points of contention as the overall assessment of the situation in Syria and the reasons behind it can hardly change the spirit and nature of our bilateral relations radically," Peskov said when asked how the Kremlin felt about Trump’s remarks about that incident.

He noted though that the Kremlin "would believe a more balanced approach is necessary." "We do not think it is possible to come up with hasty assessments of what happened in Syria, in the Idlib province," he added.
