Kremlin: Russia to continue anti-terror fight even with lack of international cooperation
"It is obvious that terrorism is a terrible and sophisticated threat that requires international cooperation," the Kremlin spokesman said
MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Moscow is determined to push ahead with its efforts to combat terrorism despite the lack of proper international support, Russian Presidential Spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters on Wednesday.
"As for the Kremlin’s plans, we are determined to continue the consistent policy aimed at the rejection and decisive fight against terrorism pursued by the Russian president for many years," he said. "We have said on numerous occasions that we are experiencing a shortage of international interaction and cooperation, and through no fault of ours at that. However, in spite of that, Russia is determined to push ahead with its efforts to combat terrorism."
Peskov recalled that the Russian leader emphasized earlier in the day that "all of us are potential targets for terrorists." "He has repeatedly made it clear and stated openly that this policy (aimed at combating terrorism - TASS) will continue," he said. "The special services are working at full capacity, so to say. However, it is obvious that terrorism is a terrible and sophisticated threat that requires international cooperation."
