Investigative Committee checking circumstances of Russian senator’s accidental death

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a pre-investigation check into the circumstances of the accidental death of Russian Senator Vadim Tyulpanov.
Tyukpanov died earlier on Tuesday after losing his footing and falling down at a fitness center in St. Petersburg. He was already dead when an ambulance team arrived.
According to the Committee’s press service, investigators are examining the site of the accident. Forensic examination will follow.
Vadim Tyulpanov, 52, was speaker of St. Petersburg’s Legislative Assembly from 2003 to 2011 when he was delegated to represent the city’s authorities at Russia’s Federation Council upper parliament house. Later, he represented the Nenets Autonomous Area. He was chairman of the Federation Council’s regulations committee.
