HAMBURG, December 8. /TASS/. U.S. expressed regret over the shelling of the Russian airborne hospital in Aleppo but did it somewhat hazily, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday.

"They did express regret and this was before my meeting with John Kerry," he said. "In a manner that wasn't very explicit, a spokesman for the Department of State did express the regrets, saying however Washington needed to clear out the details of the incident. He said the U.S. condemned any acts of terrorism."

"Still, if an incident occurs where the Syrian authorities can be implicated, the Americans do waste time for clearing things out," Lavrov said. "They immediately switch on the mikes and demand to punish, condemn or crucify."

On December 5, the tent camp of an airmobile hospital of the Russian Defense Ministry deployed in Aleppo underwent artillery shelling from the militants-held positions when the physicians were seeing and giving medical aid to local residents.

As a result of the shelling, two Russian doctors, Nadezhda Durachenko and Galina Mikhailova died and the chief pediatrician of the Defense Ministry’s medical service, Vadim Arsentyev, was severely wounded.
