Putin offers condolences to Pakistan over plane crash

The Pakistani plane carrying 47 people crashed en route to Islamabad on Wednesday

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to Pakistan’s President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif over the death of passengers and crew of a Pakistan International Airlines passenger plane that crashed near Havelian on Wednesday.

The Kremlin’s press-service said "the Russian head of state expressed words of sympathy and support for those who lost their relatives and dear ones in that air crash."

A turboprop ATR-42 plane, en route from Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhva province, to Islamabad, crashed on Wednesday. There were 42 passengers, five crew and one engineer on board. There were no survivors.
