MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is kept informed about former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"Naturally, the president regularly receives information about what is going on around Viktor Yanukovich, which steps he is taking and which processes he is taking part in," he told TASS when asked whether President Putin is informed about the court trial of the Berkut case and Yanukovich’s participation in it.

The Kremlin spokesman did not say whether Putin and Yanukovich had contacted each other recently.

"I have no such information," Peskov said.
