MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Syria’s government army liberated eight Aleppo’s districts from terrorists during the day, the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties said in its regular daily news bulletin posted on the Russian defense ministry’s official website on Sunday.

"On November 27, Syrian government forces liberated from terrorists eight districts in Eastern Aleppo. More than 2,500 civilians, including more than 800 children, were evacuated from the liberated districts. Thus, 500 civilians left the al-Qasidiya neighborhood, and about 1,500 civilians left the Jabal Badaro and Hai al-Sakur neighborhoods," the bulletin says.

Apart from that, the Russian center said that 42 terrorists had surrendered arms during the day as Syria’s government army continued operation to liberate Aleppo’s eastern districts. "In the course of the Syrian army’s operation to liberate Aleppo’s eastern districts, forty-two militants surrendered arms and left the Al-Qasidiya district. Amnesty declared earlier by the Syrian president’s decree covers all surrendering militants," he bulletin says.

According to the Russian reconciliation center, several gunmen tried to leave the blocked districts disguising themselves as civilians. They were immediately detained. "In order to avoid casualties among civilians, talks are underway with militants in a number of districts to have them surrender weapons," the center said.

Syria’s government troops launched an operation to liberate Aleppo’s eastern districts seized by illegal armed groups 12 day ago when the term of the latest ultimatum had expired. Earlier, SANA cited a Syrian army spokesman as saying that Syria’s government troops had established control of Aleppo’s Jabal Badaro and Al-Hulagu neighborhoods. Earlier, control was established over Ayn Tel, Heydariya, Bayidin and Sheikh Khodr neighborhoods. The operation to liberate Aleppo’s eastern quarters has been joined by Kurdish self-defense forces which took control over the Bustan al-Basha neighborhood.
