More than 90 percent of Crimeans voted for reunification with Russia, Putin has recalled

MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the choice of the Crimean residents who voted for reunification with Russia should be respected avoiding double standards. "It is necessary to respect the choice of people (in Crimea) and not adapt every time international law and the principles of democracy to one’s geopolitical interests," he said in an interview for Oliver Stone’s documentary titled Ukraine on Fire, which will be aired by the REN TV channel.

Putin recalled that more than 90% of Crimeans voted for reunification with Russia.
