Anti-terror consultations with EU to be held in early 2017 — Russian diplomat
The meeting will discuss the issue of foreign terrorists and efforts to counter terrorist financing
MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. Consultations on anti-terrorism between Russia and the EU will be tentatively held in late January or early February, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Oleg Syromolotov, said on Wednesday answering a question from a TASS correspondent.
"They have not finalized the dates yet," he said. "The meeting is due to be held at the beginning of next year - either in late January or in early February."
Earlier reports said that the meeting had been postponed until December.
According to Syromolotov, the participants in the consultations will discuss the issue of foreign terrorists and efforts to counter terrorist financing. "These are the main issues," he said.
He added that similar consultations with Kyrgyzstan are scheduled for November 17. The situation in Central Asia and Afghanistan will be discussed during them.
