Kremlin: Ceasefire regime of Russian air task force in Aleppo continues
Time for the Russian air task force to resume Aleppo operation depends on militants' behavior, the Kremlin says
MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. A decision on the Russian air task force to resume its combat operations in Syria’s Aleppo will depend on militants’ behavior, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
"The ceasefire regime of the Russian air task force continues," the Kremlin spokesman told journalists.
"The decision was made in line with the position assumed by [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin who said the continuation of the Russian air task force’s ceasefire regime was contingent on the line, to which militants would adhere," Peskov said.
"If militants do not resort to active offensive operations, aggressive campaigns, then the president considered it expedient to continue this regime, during which the Russian air task force does not deliver strikes against eastern Aleppo," the Kremlin spokesman said.
