MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. Not all internal threats in Russia have been solved yet, so intelligence officers still have a lot of work to do, Russian National Federal Guard Spokesman Lieutenant General Sergei Kutsov told reporters on Thursday at a briefing dedicated to the Military Intelligence Day marked on November 5.
"Unfortunately, the specific features of our work prevent me from discussing the details of our missions. Nevertheless, every day intelligence officers, together with other agencies, carry out tasks aimed at fighting terrorism. They perform these duties today and will continue to do so tomorrow. Unfortunately, domestic threats haven’t been eliminated yet and intelligence still has much work to do," he noted.
At present, the Russian National Guard’s intelligence has cutting-edge technology at its disposal, Kutsov noted. "In the beginning, our units used to have only the simplest devices while now our intelligence has a wide range of technological resources," he said.
According to him, at the moment Russian National Guard comprised units aimed at remote data collection, that are equipped with unmanned aircraft and military vehicles. "We are proud of our intel officers," Kutsov noted.
