SOCHI, October 27./TASS/. It is impossible and harmful to give specific time limits for the signing of a peace treaty between Russia and Japan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in reply to queries at a final session of the Valdai discussion club.

"This is a case where it is impossible and even harmful, in my opinion, to determine any time limits," the president said in reply to the query from a Japanese representative who asked if a peace treaty between Japan and Russia could be signed in the next two, three or four years.
