The Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman says such a condition can be a very effective measure to prompt Kiev to comply with the Minsk accords

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. The West should link the allocation of loans to Kiev to the implementation of Minsk-2, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday speaking at the European Young Diplomats Forum.

"We can see what enormous loans, tranches are transferred to Kiev, one of the conditions being progress in the fight against corruption," she said. "Why the implementation of the Minsk agreements cannot be such a condition is a big question. That would be a very effective measure to prompt Kiev to comply with the Minsk accords."

According to Zakharova, the Ukrainian authorities are not interested in fully implementing what they previously put their signatures to.

"The money, financial factor is always very sensitive, especially for Ukraine," Zakharova added.
