MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prince Albert II, of Monaco, have expressed satisfaction over the development of bilateral relations.
"I am very glad that we started your visit with a landmark event - the opening of an exhibition devoted to relations between Monaco and Russia. We were able to see for ourselves that Monaco-Russia relations have been developing constructively for a very long time," Putin said at a meeting with Prince Albert II in the Kremlin on Thursday.
He added he was very pleased to see the mutual relations were developing steadily and in a positive fashion. Prince Albert II agreed with Putin.
"We are happy about the opportunity to have a meeting with you and to visit Moscow on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations," he said.
Prince Albert II said the exhibition he and the Russian president had just visited reflected the depth of history of bilateral relations.
"This exhibition is a remarkable evidence of the past, but at the same time it directs us into the future. These days, ten years after the diplomatic relations between our countries were restored, it is a great pleasure for me to note an excellent level of cooperation between Russia and Monaco in a variety of fields. I am certain that Moscow shares this vision and is going to advance this cooperation," Prince Albert II said.
