Kremlin expects no breakthrough in Ukraine crisis after Nuland-Surkov talks

MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. The Kremlin does not expect any headway on the Ukraine crisis after the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland and Russia’s Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov meet, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.
"No headway can be expected," he said. "These are ongoing efforts on an expert level. So, there are no intentions at making any breakthroughs."
The Kremlin spokesman also pointed out that the US wasn’t part of the "Normandy Four" group but it was participating in the exchange of information between experts on the situation in Ukraine.
As reported earlier, Nuland arrived in Moscow on Tuesday night.
