MOSCOW, September 19. /TASS/. The State Duma of the 7th convocation should become "a parliament of development" and meet the expectations of voters, former Finance Minister and head of the Center for Strategic Research Alexey Kurdin said on Monday.
"The new Duma should become a parliament of development. There is a mandate, there are expectations as well. People are waiting for actions, not words," Kurdin wrote on his Twitter account.
Elections to the State Duma, Russia’s lower house of Parliament, were held on September 18 in a split system: 225 members of parliament were elected by party tickets, while the other 225 were elected in one-seat constituencies.
