Putin: Parliamentary polls in Russia demonstrate society’s demand for stability
The voter turnout at Sunday’s elections in Russia has proved that people have grown more mature in political terms, Vladimir Putin said
MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. The results of Sunday’s elections to the Russian State Duma lower parliament house have demonstrated that society is voting in favor of political stability, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
‘The situation is difficult and people feel it and want stability in society, in the political system," he said at the election headquarters of Russia’s ruling United Russia party.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has commended United Russia’s good result at the elections to the Russian State Duma.
He said that despite the skepticism, the party is working as efficiently as it can.
"I can say confidently that the party has achieved a very good result: it has won," Putin said at United Russia’s election headquarters. "The situation is difficult, but people have voted for United Russia."
‘People see that United Russia, the leading political forces, is really doing its best for people. Maybe, not always successfully but it is working sincerely and as efficiently as it can," he said.

"Indeed, people have demonstrated their civil position," he said at the headquarters of Russia’s ruling United Russia party. "It was reflected in the turnout. It is not bigger than at the previous election campaign, but it is high."
"For United Russia, like for any other party, the result is what matters most. And the result is good," the president said.
