Putin to take part in CIS Heads of State meeting on September 16
MOSCOW, September 14. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Bishkek on September 16, the Kremlin press service reported on Wednesday.
In the context of "the CIS 25th anniversary the heads of state will sum up the results of the activities of this inter-state association and exchange views on the key issues of further development of the Commonwealth."
The participants in the summit in Kyrgyzstan "are expected to adopt a number of multilateral documents, including statements on combating international terrorism, on the global drug problem, in connection with the 25th anniversary of the CIS and on the occasion of the 70th anniversary since the end of Nuremberg Trials." It is also planned "to sign some organizational decisions, in particular, on Russia’s CIS chairmanship in 2017.".
