Lavrov marks need for urgent implementation of Minsk-2
MOSCOW, September 8./TASS/. At a meeting with Martin Sajdik, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov pointed to a need for an urgent implementation of the Minsk agreements, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported Thursday.
According to the ministry, the sides "discussed in detail the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine with an emphasis on a need for an urgent implementation by the sides in the conflict of their commitments on the Minsk Package of Measures".
"They also looked into different aspects in the activity of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine," the ministry said.
Sajdik is currently in Moscow on a working visit. He said the agenda of his trip also included a meeting with the Russian president’s envoy to the Contact Group for the settlement in Ukraine, Boris Gryzlov.
