On September 1, the U.S. government expanded its list of unilateral economic sanctions imposed on Russian individuals and legal entities over the conflict in Ukraine

MOSCOW, September 7 /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed indignation with new US sanctions imposed on Russia in a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State John Kerry, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

"The Russian minister expressed his indignation with a new US sanctions attack on Russia under the pretext of the Ukraine crisis. He emphasized that normal cooperation, including the settlement of the regional conflicts for which the Barack Obama administration constantly asks us during our working contacts, was impossible without serving elementary decencies," the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.

On September 1, the U.S. government expanded its list of unilateral economic sanctions imposed on Russian individuals and legal entities over the conflict in Ukraine.

The renovated U.S. sanctions list includes a number of Gazprom sister structures and other Russian companies, including those involved in the construction of a bridge over the Kerch Strait.

Seventeen new individuals, including Eduard Basurin, a representative of the DPR operational command, were added to the sanctions list of Russian and Ukrainian nationals.

The United States also slapped sanctions on another 19 Russian companies, including the Sovmortrans group specializing in multi-modal and intermodal transportation.

Gazprom-Media, and regional branches of Gazprombank, which has been on the U.S. sanctions list since 2014, was added to the list of sectoral sanctions.

On September 6, the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security included 81 companies and organizations under 86 names in its own list of sanctions over the conflict in Ukraine. The Department of Commerce blacklist duplicates the Department of the Treasury’s list. However, it also includes 11 new companies, which are not mentioned by the Department of the Treasury, including a radio-electronic enterprise Micran.
