Russia, Thailand sign cooperation agreement
The memorandum calls for close interaction between Russian and Thai General Prosecutors to urgently fight high crimes and felonies
MOSCOW, August 3 /TASS/. On Wednesday, Russian and Thai prosecutors signed a cooperation agreement effective from 2016 to 2020, the Russian Prosecutor General’s press office announced.
"The memorandum calls for close interaction between Russian and Thai General Prosecutors to urgently fight high crimes and felonies, including extremism, terrorism, illegal drug trafficking (psychotropic substances and their precursors) cyber-crimes; corruption, human trafficking and human organ harvesting, illegal arms and ammunition trade as well as money laundering," the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, whose delegation is on a visit to Thailand, said.
Besides, the agreement provides for reciprocal extradition of suspects and convicts, as well as mutual assistance in investigating criminal cases, including the withdrawal, confiscation and repayment of criminally earned revenues and criminal paraphernalia.
