MOSCOW, August 1. /TASS/. Accusations of Russia’s alleged involvement in the recent hack of the US Democratic Party Committee’s computers are vague and part of the presidential election campaign of Hillary Clinton, Russian presidential spokesman Dmirty Peskov said on Monday.

"Such statements of Clinton are made as part of election campaign rhetoric and stipulate nothing definite," Peskov said adding that voiced the accusations against Russian hackers "do not imply accusations against the Russian government."

"There was nothing definite in her [Clinton’s] accusations and they were rather of an emotional statement," President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman said adding that the official Russian departments had nothing to do with cyberterrorism.

 Russia has repeatedly offered to establish international cooperation with the United States among other countries to combat cyber threats, but saw no reciprocity from the American colleagues, Peskov added. 

"Our relevant services have repeatedly noted the need for international cooperation, including our American partners, in combatting such dangerous manifestations. Unfortunately, we still have not seen any reciprocal desire to cooperate and collaborate," Peskov said.
