Kerry is arriving in Moscow on July 14

MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will receive US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in the afternoon on July 14, they plan to discuss the situation in Syria and Ukraine, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

"I can say now that Putin will receive US Secretary of State (John) Kerry and (Russian) Foreign Minister (Sergey) Lavrov in late afternoon on Thursday (July 14). The issues due to be discussed are predictable enough. These are Syria, Ukraine and bilateral relations," Peskov said.

He added that the two top diplomats will brief Putin on the results of their talks.

Peskov earlier said that the possibility of such a meeting was discussed.

Kerry is arriving in Moscow on July 14. He is to hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The Russian side plans, in particular, to discuss ceasefire violations in Syria by various groups controlled by the Jabhat al-Nusra (terrorist organization outlawed in Russia - TASS), which declared their commitment to ceasefire, Lavrov said earlier.
