MOSCOW, June 21. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting on Tuesday with Antonio Guterres, a candidate for the next UN secretary general, the Russian Foreign Ministry has reported.

"During the meeting the two sides discussed the prospects of strengthening the efficiency of UN activities and exchanged views on the election of the new UN secretary general," the ministry said.
