The Russian president and UN Secretary General will hold talks on June 16
MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will discuss the fight against terrorism and the situation in Syria on June 16.
"The issues (of the meeting between Putin and the UN secretary general) are quite logical - countering international terrorism, the situation in Syria," Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov has told reporters.
The intra-Ukrainian crisis will be another issue discussed at the meeting.
Ushakov noted that Ban Ki-moon will be accompanied in this trip by UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.
He recalled that Ban Ki-moon had awarded the Order of Friendship, and Putin will present the award to him at the upcoming meeting.
