MOSCOW, April 15./TASS/. Iranian Defense Minister Hosein Dehqan plans to meet with counterparts from five other countries who will be among participants in the International Security Conference, sources from the Iranian Embassy told TASS on Friday.

"The Iranian minister will have a bilateral meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu," the embassy said, noting that other bilateral meetings were planned but without specifyng who exactly the Iranian minsiter will meet with.

The relationship between Russia and Iran is on the rise now, according to Iran's Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sana.

"Currently the bilateral relationship [between the two countries — TASS] is on the rise," he said, adding that Iran "welcomes its further development and strengthening." According to Mehdi Sana, "this is demonstrated by regular meetings of foreign ministers, who have recently met 10 times."
