MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Moscow hopes that the resignation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk will not hamper the implementation of the Minsk Agreements that is already stalling, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"Of course, we think that change of government and prime minister should not hamper what has been stalling for over a year already," Peskov told reporters.

He reminded that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was the one who put his signature under the Minsk Agreements. "We still hope that Kiev will fulfill the commitments it assumed," the spokesman said. Answering a question on how Yatsenyuk’s resignation may affect the implementation of the political part of Minsk-2 by Kiev, Peskov noted: "I would not want to guess on a coffee thick."

The Kremlin spokesman added that Yatsenyuk "is not remembered for making any contribution" to settling the Ukrainian crisis. "In reality, Mr Yatsenyuk is not remembered for making a contribution to normalization of relations between our countries," he added. "He is also not remembered for any contribution to settling the Ukrainian crisis, I mean the situation in the south-east," he concluded.
