Kremlin does not comment on media reports of Russian arms supplies to Iraqi Kurds

MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. The Kremlin does not comment on alleged weapons supplies to Iraqi Kurds by Russia, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

Answering a journalist’s question on whether Russia supplied weapons to Iraqi Kurds and whether the delegation of Iraqi Kurds will arrive in Moscow in April to discuss new arms deliveries, Peskov said: "I would rather not comment on this, I do not have any information on this matter. No comment here."

Several media previously reported that Russia supplied five Zu-23-2 anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannons and around 20,000 rounds of ammunition to Iraqi Kurds. It was noted that the weapons were delivered through Baghdad on coordination with the central government.
