Putin urges creating business-law enforcement dialogue on basis of Kremlin administration
The Russian president says the new site would allow businesses to formulate their claims not to specific private companies, individuals or legal entities but to entire business associations
MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has proposed to create a site for the dialogue between business and law enforcement agencies on the basis of the Kremlin administration.
Speaking at a meeting with President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin Putin said:
"Now this [the dialogue — TASS] is so much in demand and my proposal is it is necessary to create such a dialogue between businesses and law enforcement agencies on the base the president’s administration — this is not a direct dialogue but the dialogue through the mediation of the president’s administration."
According to the president the dialogue between businesses and law enforcement agencies is "a more subtle point" than the relations between entrepreneurs and the government.
Putin said that the new site would allow businesses to formulate their claims not to specific private companies, individuals or legal entities but to entire business associations, including the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Business Russia and others.
He added that the General Prosecutors Office, Interior Ministry, the Investigative Committee could be involved on behalf of the government in the dialogue.
"For example, at least once a quarter, they could hold meetings on the level of especially assigned deputy ministers and with the mediation of the president’s administration. They would detect weak points and issues that arouse concerns the law enforcement system, which is obliged to protect interests of the society and on the other hand - of the business community. This is necessary to ensure that the developing regulations and, what is also very important, the legal practices used to execute these acts after their approval meet the interests of the state in general" - Putin said. Shokhin said that the President’s proposal would be "a very effective tool".
