Putin presents Bahrain’s king with Akhal-Teke horse to get Damascus sword in return

SOCHI, February 8. /TASS/. King Hamad ibn Asa Al Khalifa, of Bahrain, who earlier in the day held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an Akhal-Teke horse as a gift from the Russian leader. In return, Putin was presented with a Damascus steel sword.
As the Kremlin’s press-service has said, the horse called Khadjibek (year of birth 2012) was the breed’s world champion in 2015, overall world champion in 2014 and winner of the world championship for young horses in 2014.
In return, King Hamad presented Putin with a sword, made under a special royal order. The blade is made of Damascus steel, and the scabbard and handle, of precious metals.
Putin and King Hamad held talks in the Black Sea resort of Sochi earlier on Monday.
