MOSCOW, January 18. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will on Monday meet with Secretary General of the Permanent International Secretariat of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Michael Christidis, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mariya Zakharova said.

Zakharova said the sides will discuss "urgent issues of BSEC activity."
"Special attention during the meeting will be paid to substantial and organizational aspects of Russia’s presidency in BSEC in the first half of 2016," the diplomat said.
BSEC presidency passed to Russia from Romania at the December 11 Bucharest meeting of the organization’s Foreign Ministerial Council.
BSEC is a regional economic structure uniting 12 countries: Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
