Lavrov, Mogherini to hold bilateral meeting in Belgrade — Russian delegation
BELGRADE, December 3. /TASS/. Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is due to hold a bilateral meeting with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini in Serbia’s capital Belgrade on Thursday, a source in Russia’s delegation has told TASS.
"The meeting is scheduled for today," the source confirmed.
Lavrov is due to attend the 22nd meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade on Thursday. Russia’s top diplomat is due to meet with US Secretary of State John Kerry, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland and Italy’s Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
Lavrov is also scheduled to meet with his Finnish and Hungarian counterparts.
On Wednesday, Lavrov said he was ready to meet with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on the sidelines of the OSCE meeting. The sides are expected to discuss Turkey’s downing of the Russian Su-24 jet on November 24 and Moscow’s reaction to the attack.
