Russian Foreign Ministry surprised no int'l response to Crimea energy blockade by Ukraine
Lack of heating in Crimea does not provoke any interest, condemnation in this regard was heard from Germany only, a high ranking source in the Russian Foreign Ministry says
MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry is surprised that international institutions neither comment nor respond to the situation with power supply to Crimea after Ukrainian nationalists blasted power transmission lines, a high ranking source in the Ministry said on Tuesday.
"European institutions expressed concern in connection with deliveries of Russian gas to Ukraine several years ago, during the period of gas disputes between Ukraine and Russia," the source said.
"Lack of heating in Crimea does not provoke any interest. Institutions called to deal with observation of human rights and international organizations speaking about the situation in Crimea were silent about that," the source said.
"We heard condemnation in this regard from Germany on the second day only," he added.
