President Putin called the incident with Russian Su-24 frontline bomber a "stab in the back" of Russia delivered by "terrorism accomplices"

MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. A protest action is taking place outside the Turkish embassy in Moscow due to the attack on Russia’s military jet in Syria earlier on Tuesday, TASS correspondent reports from the scene.

"The attack on Russia’s military jet angered me. I want to say to Turkish authorities that they will have to bear responsibility for all actions," one of the protesters said.

"When we saw that the Russian warplane was attacked by Turkish aviation forces we covered the situation in media space. This aggression against our country looks like a provocative act and we hope it won’t be neglected," another protester said.

The Su-24 frontline bomber of the Russian aviation group in Syria crashed in the Syrian territory. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the plane was downed by an air-to-air missile launched by a Turkish F-16 fighter. According to President, at the moment of the attack the Russian Su-24 plane was flying at an altitude of 6,000 meters at a distance of 1 km from the Turkish border. Putin called the incident a "stab in the back" of Russia delivered by "terrorism accomplices."
