Sergey Udaltsov is serving a sentence of four years and six months in prison in Russia

MOSCOW, September 15. /TASS/. Russian opposition activist and coordinator of the Left Front movement Sergey Udaltsov jailed for staging mass protests has filed a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

"We complain about the inhuman treatment, injustice and violation of the right of defense, freedom of speech and assembly," Dmitry Agranovsky told TASS.

In July last year, the Moscow City Court found Udaltsov and Leonid Razvozzhayev, a former State Duma deputy’s aide, guilty of organizing mass disorders in Moscow in May 2012 and attempting to stage mass disorders across the country. Both men were sentenced to four years and six months in prison.
