MOSCOW, September 10 /TASS/. Sudan and South Sudan will continue using Moscow as a floor for dialogue, and the Russian side will gladly offer it to them, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after negotiations with the foreign ministers of Sudan and South Sudan, Ibrahim Ghandour and Benjamin Barnaba, on Thursday.
According to Lavrov, the trilateral consultations were unique in their own way.
"It was the first time that the inter-Sudanese settlement had been discussed in such a format," Lavrov said.
"We are grateful to our colleagues from Sudan and South Sudan for accepting the invitation and proposal to use the Moscow floor for the ongoing dialogue on remaining problems in relations between the two countries," the Russian diplomat stressed.
"Our guests intend to continue using the Moscow floor, which they consider to be useful and comfortable. For our part, we will be ready to offer this floor," the Russian foreign minister concluded.
