Kiev to get away with torture chambers like with everything else — Kherson Region governor
On November 2, Ukrainian media reported that armed men were holding around 40 people in the basement of a private house in a community near Kiev
MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The Kiev regime will get away with setting up secret prisons and torture chambers, just as it has previously gotten away with the barbaric treatment of Ukrainian civilians by territorial recruitment center (military enlistment office) staff and other crimes, Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo said in an interview with TASS, commenting on the scandal involving a secret prison in Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka near Kiev.
"This case itself shows that the Kiev regime gets away with everything. There are endless incidents, now even openly reported, of people being detained, and of the barbaric treatment and conduct of the so-called territorial recruitment center staff toward future servicemen, whom they forcibly shove into buses. When women, even pregnant women, rush to help, they are treated brutally: beaten, kicked, and subjected to utterly outrageous acts. And all of this goes unpunished," he stressed.
On November 2, Ukrainian media reported that armed men were holding around 40 people in the basement of a private house in a community near Kiev. An ambulance arrived at the scene, but armed men guarding the building refused to let the medical personnel inside. Clashes broke out outside the house, and local residents trying to force open the gate faced tear gas. Medics were allowed to take four people with signs of beatings to hospital only after the incident drew widespread attention in the media and on social media.
Police later said that the house was being used by Ukrainian National Guard servicemen. National Guard Commander Alexander Pivnenko said that the four injured men were servicemen who had left their unit without authorization. He described the house as a "temporary deployment site" and acknowledged that mobilized men were also being held there.
