MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. Special Representative of the Russian President for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev has urged European officials not to worry about a comment of the US leader’s son-in-law Jared Kushner about potential security agreements in Europe.

"Don't worry be happy," Dmitriev wrote on Instagram (banned in Russia, owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in Russia).

He accompanied his post with a screenshot of a Financial Times (FT) story, which quoted sources as saying that Kushner’s comment about potential security agreements in Europe involving Russia came as a surprise to European officials.

Earlier, the FT said that EU member states are opposed to using peace talks on Ukraine to discuss a new security architecture. They also fear that the administration of US President Donald Trump may clinch a deal with Russia to the detriment of European security. On November 6, Kushner wrote on X that, according to the United States, potential security agreements in Europe involving Russia could include communication channels in crisis situations and a greater military transparency.
