MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. While checking US intelligence regarding a potential terror attack in Moscow, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) detained a teenager who posted a video on TikTok threatening to commit a crime in Tsaritsyno Park, the FSB press center said.
"The Federal Security Service, in coordination with the Russian National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Investigative Committee, conducted an investigation into information received from US law enforcement agencies regarding preparations for a terrorist attack in Moscow’s Tsaritsyno Museum. As a result of these measures, Russian law enforcement detained an underaged Russian citizen, who posted photos of himself on the short-video platform TikTok wearing tactical clothing, a balaclava, a cap, sunglasses, and headphones holding an object resembling an automatic weapon, as well as photos taken at the Tsaritsyno Museum with the caption: ‘I found a place,’" it said.
"Items of clothing and accessories were found at the detainee’s place of residence, and a TikTok account from which threats were posted, a subscription to a neo-Nazi channel on the Telegram messaging app, and a significant number of search queries regarding past terrorist acts, mass murders, and other acts of violence were identified on his communication devices," it stated.
According to the FSB, all cultural and public events at the museum and park were cancelled, and security measures were stepped up while the probe was being conducted.
"We are thankful to the American side for the information it has shared," the FSB added.
