MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. Russia has signed agreements to establish intergovernmental commissions with five African countries, the Russian Economic Development Ministry said.

"On the sidelines of the third Russia-Africa summit in Moscow, Russia signed agreements to establish intergovernmental commissions on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Niger, South Sudan, Senegal and Kenya," the ministry said.

Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov and the heads of the African countries’ economic and foreign ministries signed the documents.

"Working through intergovernmental commissions with each of our African partners will help our countries expand cooperation among private companies and small and medium-sized businesses. The commissions will provide a platform for our businesses to work effectively on trade and investment projects. Joint exhibitions, forums and conferences will offer a convenient way for entrepreneurs and government agencies in our countries to engage with one another," Reshetnikov concluded.
