MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. The rhetoric of the Baltic states toward Russia is hysterically aggressive, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"It is obvious that the rhetoric of the Baltic states is extremely aggressive. It is also obvious that it is hysterically aggressive," he told Vesti.

At their request, Peskov commented on media reports claiming that the Pentagon had urged some NATO countries, including Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, to tone down their statements directed at Russia.

"You are saying all this based on media reports. We do not know what actually happened or whether it happened at all. All such reports should be taken with a grain of salt," the Kremlin spokesman noted.
