Alyoshki mission, Putin's readiness to engage in dialogue: Kremlin's comments
There was no discussion of the participation of Europeans in the talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine, Dmitry Peskov stressed
MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to maintain contacts with everyone in pursuit of a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on a Financial Times story claiming that the United States allegedly considers Britain, Germany and France as negotiators from Europe.
He also noted that the Russian and Ukrainian ombudspersons, Yana Lantratova and Dmitry Lubinets, are actively coordinating their efforts, including on the humanitarian mission in Alyoshki in the Kherson Region.
TASS has compiled the key statements of the Kremlin representative.
The mission in Alyoshki
Lantratova and Lubinets are actively coordinating their efforts, including on the humanitarian mission in Alyoshki: "We note a fairly high level of coordination between the human rights defenders of Ukraine and Russia. Lantratova is actively working with her counterpart from the Ukrainian side."
Everyone will be able to leave the city during the humanitarian operation: "Those who wish to do so will be able to leave the settlement."
People in Alyoshki will receive the essential humanitarian aid thanks to the mission carried out there: "The main thing is that humanitarian aid is now reaching the people. This is exactly the help that was stated as necessary. Let's wait for news from there, from the place."
Trilateral negotiations
There was no discussion of the participation of Europeans in the talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine: "No, this was not discussed with anyone. The Financial Times is probably discussing this in its newsroom."
Putin's willingness to negotiate
Putin welcomes all contacts aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement in Ukraine: "President Putin is open to contacts with everyone in the interests of the cause, in the interests of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian problem. He was open, he is open, and he will remain open to these contacts."
If reason prevails in Europe, the number of politicians establishing contact with Russia will increase: "If, let's say, reason still prevails in Europe, then the number of people coming into contact will increase. If not, it will not increase. But this will in no way affect at this stage the process of the trilateral negotiations, which are scheduled for November."
