MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. Russia remembers all the tragic pages of history well, including the lessons of both world wars, and is doing everything in its power to ensure that nothing like this happens to the humanity again, President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference after the Russia-Africa summit.

"History is something that has already happened, and nothing can be improved here," the president noted. "But knowing history, knowing the tragic pages of history, we can make attempts to ensure that nothing like what happened to the humanity in previous decades or centuries, nothing that the humanity experienced during some major conflicts, armed conflicts, so that none of this happens again.

"We in Russia remember all this well, including the lessons of the WWI and WWII. And we are doing everything to ensure that nothing like this happens on a global scale."
