Ukrainian mercenaries have become much more active in Africa, with the West is using them to further its own colonial interests on the continent, said Russian Presidential Adviser, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the Summit of Heads of State and Government of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Anton Kobyakov.

"It is important to note that over the past few years, there has been a sharp increase in the activity of Ukrainian militants in Africa. This has become particularly noticeable during the years of the special military operation. Ukraine is being used by the West in Africa to advance its colonial agenda on the continent. Today, Ukrainian instructors and mercenaries are present in virtually all active terrorist groups in African countries," Kobyakov noted.
